At Prairie State School we are dedicated to quality teaching and learning and following the process of turning our students into assessment literate learners. Our students have a clear knowledge of what they need to know and be able to do to be successful in their learning.

Students are encouraged to work to the best of their ability across year levels with staff extending and supporting their learning where needed. In a multi-age setting students have the advantage of collaborating with students from all year levels, making learning differentiated and more accessible.

Prairie State School works with other small schools in the Dalrymple Alliance (Homestead, Pentland and Cameron Downs) to provide students with high quality learning opportunities, particularly in the areas of HPE and The Arts.

In 2017, Languages Other Than English (LOTE) lesson will be delivered online to our Years 5 and 6 students. At Prairie State School students are learning the German language.
